In December 2022, in the middle of the World Cup, the pianist from Venado Tuerto, returned to the city of Rosario to play solo piano at the national library.

Leo studied in Rosario for 4 years, so it is always a return to his second home in his homeland.

The repertoire of the concert was a walk through original music, some jazz standards, music by Lennon and Spinetta. The energy generated by the music was sent directly to Qatar, the place where the Argentine national team gave everything for the happiness of its people. Rosario and its surroundings is the cradle of the greatest exponents of current soccer, so everything happened in the form of a sonorous gualicho. We are already world champions.

Leo Genovese was born in Venado Tuerto, Argentina. He recorded ten albums as a leader and dozens with other artists. He played with Wayne Shorter, Esperanza Spalding, Herbie Hancock, Jack deJonhette, Joe Lovano, Residente, Omar Rodriguez Lopez. Leo lead his group in the Village Vanguard in NYC.
